Sealed-order batch exchange · Robinhood Chain

Trade tokenised stockswithout showing your hand.

Orders go in sealed, open together in a reveal window, and cross at one Uniswap pool TWAP in one batch on Robinhood Chain. Nobody sees your side or size before the batch stops taking orders.

Commit

Keep your intent sealed.

Your order — side, quantity, limit — never goes on chain in the clear. The exchange receives one EIP-712 hash of it, the commitment, and stores it against the batch. What you meant to do stays on your device until the reveal window.

Match

A shared moment to trade.

At settlement the batch reads one reference price: the pool's TWAP over the window that ended at the commit cutoff. Buys at or above it and sells at or below it are eligible and cross at exactly that price. Everything else is released, untouched.

Mechanism

From sealed to settled.

Batches run back to back on each market. One loop of the diagram is one batch: hashes under the horizon, orders above it, one line where they cross.

  1. 01Commit window

    Commit

An EIP-712 hash of the order — market, batch, owner, side, quantity, limit, nonce and a random salt — is submitted. Nothing is reserved yet.

  2. 02Reveal window

    Reveal

After the commit cutoff the order and its salt are sent. The contract checks the hash and reserves collateral: buys reserve quantity × limit plus the fee in USDG, sells reserve the quantity. Orders are public from here.

  3. 03Settlement

    Match

At settlement the reference is the Uniswap v3 pool TWAP over the window that ended at the commit cutoff. Buys at or above it and sells at or below it are eligible; the oversubscribed side is filled pro-rata.

  4. 04Settlement

    Settle

Every fill executes at the reference price, fees are taken in USDG and unfilled amounts are released. If no valid price can be read, the batch aborts and all collateral is released.

Window lengths, the fee rate and the TWAP window are set per market and shown on each market’s page; the batch pages show every commitment, reveal and fill as the chain recorded them.

Markets

The pool sets the price. LightBlue keeps the order sealed.

Each market reads one Uniswap v3 pool against the quote asset. LightBlue never trades on that pool; it only reads its oracle. The TWAP, spot and Chainlink columns are read live from the chain with the exchange’s own math.

Settle

One price, one receipt.

Every fill in a batch executes at the same reference price. The receipt shows what filled, what was released, the fee taken, the settlement transaction and where the reference came from — the same fields the batch pages read back from the chain.

Privacy

What stays hidden, what never does.

Sealed orders hide an intention for a window, not a person. Here is the whole boundary, including the parts that work against you.

Hidden until reveal

Inside the commitment, and nowhere else, until you send the reveal:

  • Side — buy or sell
  • Quantity
  • Limit price
  • Nonce and salt

Always public

On chain for anyone to read, from the moment it happens:

  • Your address
  • Deposits and withdrawals
  • Commitment hashes and their timing
  • Reveals, once sent
  • Fills and settlement

Honest limits

What commit–reveal does not do:

  • Ordinary commit–reveal does not open orders simultaneously; reveals land one transaction at a time.
  • Funding amounts and timing can leak information.
  • Others may withhold their reveals.
  • A lost salt or a missed reveal window means the order cannot participate.
  • This is not a shielded wallet or an anonymous exchange.

The full privacy model, with the exact contract behaviour, is in the docs.

Start

Open the exchange. Keep your hand.

Commit a sealed order, reveal it after the cutoff and settle at one reference price. Live batches, balances and reveals are on the exchange itself.

Unaudited implementation. Figures marked live are read from the chain and the index (the markets table, the stats under the headline, and the newest commitment, batch and fill once the contracts are deployed); everything else is labelled illustrative and carries no market data.
